POLICE officers and staff have been honoured after helping to save the life of a man who was stabbed in Rugby town centre.
Police Sergeant Daniel Salt, PCs Hollie Byrne and Edmund Murray, and controllers Tara Robins and Darren Muddyman received Policing Deputy Director Awards to mark their dedication and professionalism.
They were part of a team deployed to the incident in January.
Officers pursued two suspects on foot whilst others protected the scene and, as a result of clear communication and instruction, arrests were quickly made and evidence secured.
More than 30 Warwickshire Police officers, staff and volunteers received awards from ACC Gareth Morgan at a ceremony at Wolston community centre on Tuesday (May 14).
