WAS IT just a good marketing ploy, or a grave error of judgement?

That's the question being asked after empty store Julian Graves saw an advert placed below its sign - for a FUNERAL company.

The advert at the Clock Towers Shopping Centre, for Golden Charter Funeral Plans, promises "affordable funeral plans for guaranteed peace of mind" for anyone over 50.

One shopper told us: "I had to do a double take as I walked past and it took a moment before it clicked in my head and I made the connection.

"I'm not sure how many other shoppers spotted it but personally I think it's really funny.

"I'd like to think it was done on purpose by someone with a sense of humour."
