TEACHERS will hold a day of strike action on Tuesday, October 1 in a row over pay and working conditions.
Here is a list of the schools closed or partially closed. It will be updated regularly between now and the day of the strike.
- St Matthew's Bloxham will be closed to all pupils.
- Dunchurch Boughton Junior School will be closed to years 3 and 4, one year 5 and one year 6.
- Dunchurch Infant School will be closed to all pupils.
- Henry Hinde Juniors will be closed to year 4.
- Boughton Leigh Infants will be closed to all pupils.
- Provost Williams in Ryton will be closed to all pupils.
- The Revel in Monks Kirby will be closed to palm class in year 4.
- Our Ladys in Princethorpe will be closed to years 3, 4 and 5.
- Hillmorton Primary will be closed to all pupils.
- Oakfield Primary School will be closed to all pupils.
- Southam College will be closed to pupils in years 7 to 11, but open to sixth formers.
- Bilton School will be closed to year 10 and 11 pupils.
- The Avon Valley School and Performing Arts College will be closed to all pupils.
- Brownsover Community School will be closed to nursery and reception.
- St Oswald's Primary will be closed to all pupils.
- Harris School will be closed to years 7 to 10.
- Boughton Leigh Junior School will be closed to all pupils.
- St. Marie's Catholic Primary and Nursery will be closed to all pupils (Dunchurch and Merttens site).
- The Riverside Academy, Newbold will be closed to all pupils.
- Ashlawn School will be closed to all pupils, but open to non-striking staff.
- Lutterworth College will be closed to all pupils.
- Lutterworth High School will be closed to all pupils.
- Thomas Estley Community College in Broughton Astley will be closed to pupils.
- Old Mill Primary in Broughton Astley will be partially closed.
- Husbands Bosworth Church of England Primary School will be closed to pupils.
A second strike is scheduled to take place on October 17.
The unions are angry at what they say is an ongoing attack on teachers by education secretary Michael Gove who they have accused of undermining them by dismantling of the national pay structure, changing pensions, promoting acadamies, and favouring a change in their working day and term structure.
There are 50 schools in the borough.
