THE FUTURE of Rugby shopping came into focus when the Clock Towers unveiled its full extension plans to the public.

The £20m project aims to expand the centre to the corner of North Street and Evreux Way on the site of the old Gala Bingo hall.

It proposes a new department store, a six-screen cinema, shops, restaurants, cafes, a new public square and a modern new office for Cemex.

An upgrade to the existing centre is also on the cards.

And shoppers flocked to the centre on Friday and Saturday for their first glimpse at the plans.

Check back later for shoppers' verdicts on the plans, and an in-depth look into Clock Towers vs Elliott's Field, Rugby's rival shopping plans.
