LIONS clinically took their chances to chalk up a third straight victory at the start of the new campaign.

Having weathered an early Warwickian storm, Lions began to take control and produced some superb rugby to open up a 26-0 half time lead.

Tom Kimberley, Jonny Ure and two Adam Attenborough tries were added to by three Gareth Bott conversions as the hosts put themselves in a commanding position.

Bott then converted his own try at the start of the second half before the visitors put their only points of the day on the board when Ricky Bearman crossed for a converted score.

Lions ensured it was they who finished on the front foot though with Ure and Karl Lawson adding further tries, the latter which was converted by Bott.

Lions continue their quest for league glory with a trip to Wellesbourne on Saturday (3pm).
