Hi: 10° Lo:3° 7 day

MEGAN Plackett scored the only goal of the game to give Rugby and East Warks Ladies victory over Leamington Ladies.
Both sides showed plenty of attacking intent in the early stages but it was Leamington who looked slightly the stronger.
They forced three short corners but could find no way through with some superb running by Charlie Woolscroft and fine defending from Emma Oflient keeping them at bay.
Rugby managed to edge ahead before half time when Belinda Stephens, who found herself out of position, fed the ball through to Plackett who finished superbly from near the penalty spot.
The second half continued to be hard fought but Leamington felt the exhaustion of the first half more acutely.
Further short corners were conceded but solid defending denied the visitors time to create an accurate shot.
Plackett, Lou-lou Danger and Ella Bromley manufactured some good runs to create space along the left that enabled more chances and caused some disruption to the visitors, but no more goals.
THE men showed why they feel they should be in touch at the top with a 10-5 victory at Sutton Coldfield.
Szymon Oszyjczyk claimed six of the goals and Sam Bevin scored what could be goal of the season.
