Hi: 10° Lo:8° 7 day

A PENSIONER was left with serious injuries after being robbed of her handbag in broad daylight yesterday morning (Thursday December 5).
The 70-year-old was knocked to the floor in Arches Lane at around 10.20am as she was returning to her place of work.
As she got out of her car she heard a sound and turned to see a male running towards her.
He barged into her and made off with her brown Prada handbag which contained cash and other items.
The offender is described as a white man of medium height and stocky build.
He was wearing black clothing including a beanie hat or balaclava, and his face was covered.
The woman was taken to University Hospital Coventry and Warwickshire with a suspected fractured left leg and hip, and was due to undergo surgery today.
Police investigating the incident would like to hear from anyone who witnessed it or saw the man hanging around Arches Lane.
