Hi: 14° Lo:10°
THE boss of the Princethorpe-based Air Ambulance Service has paid tribute to Only Fools and Horses actor Roger Lloyd-Pack who died today (Thursday).
Chief executive Andy Williamson said of Mr Lloyd-Pack - famous for his role as Trigger: "What may not have been as well-known was that he was a huge supporter of both The Children's Air Ambulance and the local air ambulances.
"Roger attended many events on our behalf and was always willing to help promote the cause and the need for funds.
"He was responsible for raising tens of thousands of pounds for our work and he was the perfect ambassador talking about the vital work we do.
"He will be sorely missed as a supporter and as a friend and he will always be remembered fondly by our charity.
"Our thoughts go out to his wife and family."
Mr Lloyd-Pack, who was 69, also starred as Owen Newitt in the Vicar of Dibley and more recently The Old Guys and Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire.
The Air Ambulance Service is the charity that runs the Warwickshire and Northamptonshire Air Ambulance, the Leicestershire, Derbyshire and Rutland Air Ambulance and the Children's Air Ambulance.
