Four arrested after stabbing

A MAN was left with stab wounds in his chest following an attack.

The incident took place around 10.30pm at an address on Craven Road and involved two men who were in an altercation with four occupants.

The injured man left the scene and was located in Albert Street with three stab wounds to his chest and shoulder.

He was taken to the University Hospital where his condition was described to be serious but not life-threatening.

Four men - two aged 21 and two aged 24 - were arrested on suspicion of wounding and a fifth on suspicion of violence to secure entry.

As of Friday, all five men were in custody being questioned by officers.
