THE date has been set for this year's Festival of Culture.

It returns for a fourth year from June 27 to July 13.

Last year's event was deemed a massive success with around 8,000 people turning out for over 100 events, most of which were held in glorious sunshine.

Aftab Gaffar, managing director of Rugby First, said: “The festival is now well established in the town centre’s events calendar and continues to increase in popularity.

“This year we will continue to develop the festival and introduce new ideas that will keep it fresh, exciting and attract even more visitors."

The event is a celebration of the Rugby area's music, dance, art, theatre, comedy, poetry, literature, walks, food and drink.

A free festival guide will be available in early June from Rugby Visitor Centre and local businesses.

Mr Gaffar added: “As the festival audience has grown, so have the advertising and sponsorship opportunities. We have a variety of flexible packages to suit all budgets and meet your business needs so please get in touch to find out more.”
