Children of St Mary’s Montessori celebrate their inspection report (s)

INSPIRATIONAL – that is the verdict of a Lutterworth nursery after an Ofsted inspection.

St Mary’s Montessori received top marks in the report from the education regulator, which rated the 50-place nursery as outstanding.

The Coventry Road Montessori, part of the Best Start Nurseries group, was one of the first in the country to be inspected under tougher new Ofsted rules.

An outstanding grade was awarded to all areas of inspection, including health and safety, quality of learning, relationships with parents/carers, leadership and management and the promotion of a healthy lifestyle.

Staff were praised for their teaching which 'supports the children's independence extremely well through optimal challenges and motivational learning opportunities'.

The report also highlighted an 'exceptionally strong and caring ethos that puts the child at the centre of everything they do'.

Best Start owner Susan Ensor was delighted, telling us: "It’s always gratifying to have our hard work ratified by Ofsted.

“We were thrilled to achieve the highest grading throughout the nursery, and the report is a well-deserved testament to the commitment and dedication of all the staff.”

The nursery opened in 2000.

A parent, who did not wish to be named, said: “It's amazing that the nursery got such a good result, but not surprising at all. I wouldn't want my girls to be anywhere else.”
