NIKE can officially announce that Rugby Town Juniors, Girls and Ladies FC - as an FA Charter Standard Community Club - has become an official kit partner with Nike.

Nike UK would like to officially welcome the club to the Nike Partner Club Initiative which means that, as well as branding support from Nike and the opportunity to be visited by professional players and England legends, the benefits of becoming a Nike Partner Club will include many other things.

Such boosts to the club include funding to send club coaches and volunteers on FA accreditation courses, community club days at St George’s Park including coaching seminars and club management workshops, opportunities to be presented with free tickets to England internationals and Premier League matches and a dedicated online club web shop.

Ben Harding, of Nike UK, said: “We are delighted to be at the start of a relationship with Rugby Town JFC and furthermore the support that Nike UK can provide to the club will help to improve and develop the club’s coaches for the benefit of players and the local community and also support the future plans of the football club.”

Birmingham County FA club co-ordinator Olly Hitchcock said of the deal: “We are extremely pleased and proud that Rugby Town have secured this deal with Nike as part of the Partner Club programme.

“It’s a fantastic way to help support and reward our Community Charter Standard club for all their hard work and time dedicated to providing grass roots football within the community.”

Liam Coulter and Jason Morris, chairmen of Rugby Town clubs, said: “We are delighted Nike UK have recognised the presence of this football club within the community of Warwickshire.

“We are expanding again this year with an additional eight teams wearing the distinctive Nike kit. The investment that Nike UK is providing into our coaching structure is welcomed with over 40 coaches already benefiting from Level 1 and Youth Module Courses held at Kilsby Lane.

“Our people have already taken advantage of overnight stays at St George’s Park and attending top quality coaching sessions with professional footballers.

“With the expansion of Kilsby Lane imminent, it cements our kit deal for three years and will enable all of our people to purchase Rugby Town items off the club web shop, which was launched this week.”
