Hi: 5° Lo:1°

A HUNDRED zombies shuffled and moaned their way through the town centre on Sunday (October 26) to raise money for two young brothers who have cerebral palsy.
The fifth annual charity Zombiethon fancy dress event – this year with a dead celebrities theme – has so far raised over £600 for ten-year-old Bobby Elson and his five year-old brother Ryan, who both need operations and equipment no longer available on the NHS.
Organiser Clare Plumbley said: "I want to thank everyone involved; all the people who kindly donated gifts, the alternative market and craft fair for coming with their stalls, and everyone who turned up and took part – the costumes were amazing.
"I'm really proud of how the town got behind us and helped us raise this money for a wonderful cause."
Bobby and Ryan's mum Beckie Haddock is trying to raise £20,000 to improve life for her boys.
