POLICE are hunting a knife wielding robber who stole cash from a newsagent in Bilton.

The masked raider walked into Withers Newsagents on Main Street on Saturday (January 21) carrying a knife and approached the counter.

He stole an unknown amount of money from the till before leaving and making off across the Black Horse car park into Magnet Lane.

Nobody was injured, but a member of staff working there at the time was left badly shocked, according to police.

The robber is described as being around 5ft 7in, slim build, in his late teens to early 20s and with a pale face.

He wore a grey hooded Ecko branded top with a rhino motif on the front.
