IN keeping with what has become a Christmas tradition in Dunchurch, Lord John Scott's statue has been dressed up again by mystery pranksters.

Every year in the week before Christmas the statue of the nobleman in the heart of the village is given an overnight makeover - and this year it has been dressed as Papa Smurf.

The once Lord of the Manor’s costumes are usually inspired by fictional characters from both the big and small screens.

Last year was Toy Story's Woody and before that he was dressed up as Homer Simpson.
