Dogan Dogan, owner of Lutterworth takeaway shop Pizzaman, was found dead and tied up in a flat above another business he owned in Evington, Leicester, on Sunday (January 8). (s)
TWO men have been arrested on suspicion of murdering Lutterworth takeaway boss Dogan Dogan.
The pair, aged 46 and 31, are currently being held in police custody for questioning by detectives.
It comes after the body of 50-year-old Mr Dogan - owner of the Pizzaman takeaway on Church Street for the last ten years - was found in his flat above the Aladdin Pizza shop he ran in Evington, Leicester, on Sunday January 8 shortly after 2.15pm.
Mr Dogan, a Kurdish Turk and married father, was found tied up, but police do not yet know how he died.
Four other men were also arrested, but police said they were for matters not connected to the murder.
Det Ch Insp Tom Davies of Leicestershire Police, leading the investigation, said: "Whilst we have made a number of arrests we are still appealing for anyone with information about the incident to contact us."
It is believed Mr Dogan spent some time at the Pizzaman takeaway on Church Street the night before he was found dead.
There were no knife wounds on his body and police say they have yet to establish a motive for the murder.
On Friday officers found a number of undisclosed items which may be linked to death by the side of a ring road in Leicester.
In a statement, Mr Dogan's family paid tribute to him. They said: "Our husband and father was a well-respected family man whose only goal in life was to secure the future of his family.
"He was very well liked and trusted within the community.
"Whoever is responsible for this has done it to an innocent man. We are anxious anybody that can help come forward with whatever information they have."
Flowers and tributes to murder victim Dogan Dogan have been left outside the Pizzaman takeaway on Church Street. 03.012.005.lutt.jg10 03.012.005.lutt.jg41 Former Bilton schoolboy is confident of X Factor success
