A PACKED autumn season at the Belgrade Theatre is sure to keep visitors entertained before the Christmas period.
The venue has announced its line-up for October and November as well as some treats later this month.
Fast-moving musical The Prodigals has already led the way after opening on Friday.
The show, which began life at The Edinburgh Festival and sees celebrated West End actor Simon Bowman leading the cast, will see its Belgrade showings continue until Saturday, September 14.
A Bollywood adaptation of Shakespeare's Cymberline will open on the same day and run for a week. It sees the kingdom in turmoil and the fate of a country at stake - with theatre-goers finding out what happens when the lives of a foolish king, beautiful princess, her banished husband and a charming rogue collide.
One night not to be missed is the performance of cult cockney duo Chas & Dave, who roll into the city on Saturday, September 21.
Expect a historical journey starting with their 1979 hit that marked the beginning of their success - Gertcha - right through to chart-toppers The Sideboard Song, Rabbit and Snooker Loppy.
One Night in November - ironically performed over three weeks in September and October - sees a gripping wartime love story set during the Coventry Blitz.
It's back by popular demand, having received an overwhelming response from audiences and critics alike last time.
Three Witches draws on elements of Macbeth to tell a modern story of action and adventure next month.
The family treat sees an action-packed 60 minutes of unforgettable music theatre.
The Family Arts Festival sees two performances over one October week.
The first is Being Human, a dramatic performance of 35 poems from around the world, presented by three performers.
And the second is Kindertransport - a drama about a mother and daughter which marks the 75th anniversary of the movement which saw 10,000, mainly Jewish, children rescued from Germany and Austria after the outbreak of the Second World War.
In late October a musical comedy inspired by Madness heads to the theatre. The uplifting tale of life and love, Our House, includes the hit of the same name, Baggy Trousers and the all-time classic It Must Be Love.
In November, Agatha Christie's legendary Box Office smash hit Mousetrap celebrates its 60th anniversary at the Belgrade.
And later that month, the Moscow Ballet makes a return with Sleeping Beauty after sell-out performances of Swan Lake and Nutcracker.
