In brief:
Flasher sought, axe man arrested

By Tuesday 13 May 2014 Updated: 16/05 10:05

A MAN indecently exposed himself to a 12-year-old girl in Long Lawford on Saturday.

Police said he appeared from bushes on Back Lane and beckoned the girl, who was walking to a friend's house.

The girl continued walking and when she returned with other people some time later the man had gone.

He is described as a white male in his early 20s, medium build with short brown hair and a distinctive dark circular tattoo on his chest.

The incident was reported at 1.40pm, but happened about half an hour earlier, a police spokeswoman said.

Police would like to hear from anyone who was in the area at the time and saw the man.

POLICE officers tasered and arrested a man who was carrying an axe on Bridget Street in the town centre.

The 21-year-old was arrested on suspicion of being in possession of an offensive weapon and assaulting a police officer after reports were received of a man walking around with an axe at around 5.30pm last Tuesday.

A taser and a police dog were both deployed in detaining the man, who was taken into custody for questioning and has since been released on police bail pending further inquiries. No-one suffered any serious injuries.

Anyone with information about the incident or the events leading up to it should call Warwickshire Police on 101.
