Teenager charged with daylight stabbing

A STABBING occurred in broad daylight in Rugby on Sunday afternoon (September 21).

A 21 year-old man was stabbed several times at 3pm in Parkfield Road.

Caine Thompson, 19, of Parkfield Road has been charged with attempted murder and possession of a bladed article after a police appeal for witnesses. He has been remanded in custody to appear at Warwick Crown Court on Thursday December 18.

The victim was treated for injuries to his jaw and arm at Walsgrave Hospital.

His injuries were serious but not thought to be life-threatening or life-changing.
