SOME of the youngest and finest talent are set to take the stage in timeless classic musical 42nd Street!

The Wing-It Theatre production, featuring a cast of 50, will be staged at the refurbished Albany Theatre in Earlsdon from August 15 to 17.

Set in 1933, 42nd Street opens in New York with well known director, the lauded

Julian Marsh, hosting auditions for Broadway’s new hit musical Pretty Lady.

Fresh off the bus from Allen Town, the ditzy but talented Peggy Sawyer stumbles in late and is informed by handsome leading man Billy Lawlor that she has missed the audition.

The plot follows Peggy in her pursuit of becoming a leading lady and the hopeful success of Pretty Lady, which is vital for the writers, the actors and the director.

Wing-It Theatre was founded four years ago with Hair, Rent and Spring Awakening among its previous shows. Most of the cast members from these musicals are now working professionals around the country and in the West End.

Performances of 42nd Street! are at 2pm and 7pm on each day and tickets costing £11 are on sale from the box office on or online at www.albanytheatre.co.uk.
