THERE is still time for Observer readers to put themselves in with a chance of swimming with Paralympian Ellie Simmonds at Coventry Sports Centre.

In an exclusive competition The Observer has teamed up with organisers of British Gas SwimBritain to offer YOU the opportunity to join 18-year-old Ellie in the pool at the first event in a series of national swimming relays.

SwimBritain is a series of team swimming relays taking place around Britain as part of efforts to get 500,000 more people to swim regularly by 2015.

It will be launched in Coventry on August 31 and Ellis is looking for three teammates who will swim 1km around a designated course in the 50m pool, broken down into four 250m legs.

To be in with a chance of becoming one of Ellie’s teammates simply tell us how old the four-time gold medallist is.

Send your answer along with your name, full address and daytime telephone number to Ellie Simmonds Competition, The Observer, 45 The Parade, Leamington Spa, CV32 4BL.

You can also enter by emailing . The deadline for entries is Thursday, August 15.

To sign up to SwimBritain Coventry at Coventry Sports Centre on August 31 visit www.swimbritain.co.uk/signup.
