CLASSIC children's tale Cinderella will be this year's panto by the Wycliffe Drama Group.

There will be the usual rousing songs, slapstick humour, and larger than life characters with not one but two pantomime dames through the ugly sisters Beryl and Cheryl.

Directed by Simon Maher, the 20th annual show will be staged Lutterworth College from January 23 to 25 with performances at 7.30pm nightly and a 2.30pm matinée on the Saturday.

Tickets are available from Aspects Stationers on Church Street in Lutterworth; Lynn Jackson on or email .

CHRISTMAS will arrive at the Co-operative Theatre in Wyken on Thursday, December 12 as the Wheatsheaf Players host their festive performance.

Hark! The Herald Wheatsheaf Sing will see the players sing, act and enjoy their way into the seasonal spirit with a set that includes their own versions of popular Christmas songs before leading the audience in a sing-song of traditional carols.

It runs until Saturday, December 14 with performances at 7.30pm nightly.

Tickets cost £8.50 from the box office on or online at wheatsheafplayers.com.

THE Corner Pocket Jazz and Blues Club hosts its Christmas party on Tuesday, December 10.

Carl Sinclair will be performing a range of material with a full band as he turns his hand to jazz, blues, boogie woogie and classic pop hits with equal panache.

Tickets to the show, which starts at 7.30pm at the CSFPA club on Fleet Street in Coventry, cost £6 on the door.
