CALDECOTT Park has won the prestigious Green Flag Award for a seventh year running.

Youngsters from Hayley's Impact Dance School joined park staff and councillors to celebrate the status given by environmental charity Keep Britain Tidy to well-maintained and well-managed parks with excellent facilities.

The celebration coincided with national Love Parks Week, which highlights the important role parks and open spaces play in keeping communities happy and healthy.

Rugby Borough Council's environment spokesman Coun Dr Mark Williams said: "Winning a Green Flag Award for a seventh year in a row is a great testament to the hard work and dedication of our staff, volunteers and residents, who all play a part in making Caldecott Park a place Rugby can be proud of."
