Hi: 10° Lo:3° 7 day

QUIZ show panelist Dave Johns will star at Showcase Coventry’s Christmas Comedy shows.
The Never Mind The Buzzcocks and 8 Out Of Ten Cats regular is one of four funnymen booked to appear over two nights at the cinema's next live event on December 20 and 21.
A stand up comic since 1989, Dave has played all the major comedy clubs in the UK and comedy festivals world wide.
But he has also acted in the West End alongside Hollywood star Christian Slater in One Flew Over The Cuckoos Nest as well as starring in The Odd Couple with Bill Bailey and Alan Davies at the Assembly Theatre in Edinburgh.
He is also a scriptwriter whose credits include the stage adaptation of the Stephen King novel The Shawshank Redemption co-written with Owen O'Neill.
Also on the bill is Wes Zaharuk, a North American described as having a tornado-like approach to comedy, and former welder from Dudley Sean Percival, who writes for Johnny Vaughan on Capital FM.
Completing the line up is Irish stand up Andrew Ryan, who has starred on Russell Howard’s Good News on BBC3.
The man regarded as one of the most exciting talents of recent years debuted his one-man show Ryanopoly at the Edinburgh Fringe last year to rave reviews.
The shows start at 8.30pm on both nights with tickets priced from £7.
